The person behind the property
GWH didn't start out in holiday lets. For a long time it was general maintenance, the usual mix of jobs for people round here, fixing what broke and keeping homes in decent order. Then a few customers with holiday lets started asking if I'd look after their places between guests too. Turned out that was the part they dreaded most, and the part I was happy to take on.
Word got round, more owners got in touch, and that corner of the work kept growing until it became a focus in its own right. That's a fair chunk of what GWH does now, across the Wirral and Chester.
Hi, I'm Tom
Hi! I'm Tom, the owner of GWH Maintenance Services. I look after a small number of holiday lets across the Wirral and Chester, few enough that I know each one inside out and can be there quickly when something goes wrong.
I take on fewer properties than I probably could, and I do it on purpose. It keeps me close to each one and means I can get there fast when something needs sorting. Plenty of firms will happily add your place to a long list. I'd rather it stayed on a short one.
What I do and what I don't
Holiday let management means different things to different firms, so here's where I sit. I take care of the property. The cleaning, the changeovers, the repairs, the garden and the safety checks. The bookings, the guest messages and the pricing stay with you, which is how most owners prefer it. You run the income side, I keep the place earning it.

You're handing me keys to an empty property, so it's fair you know I'm above board. GWH Maintenance Services Ltd is a registered company, number 15380727. There's public liability insurance in place that covers clients for no less than five million pounds.
Any tradesperson who comes to your property is properly qualified for the work they're doing, so plumbers are Gas Safe registered. You'll always know who's been at your place and when.
Who I work with
Most people who find me have a holiday let or a second home somewhere on the Wirral, and either can't get over often enough to keep on top of it or would rather not lose their weekends to it. Some bought a place near the coast as an investment and worked out pretty fast how much it takes to keep guest-ready. What I give them is a holiday home management company that's really just one bloke who knows their property and answers the phone.
I'm Wirral based and Wirral born, so I know the area, the coast, and what a winter out here does to a property left to its own devices.
